Exploring Titanic by: Agnieszka Biskup (historical fiction -- graphic novel)

This book is narrated by an adventurer named Isabel Soto. She goes back in time to find facts out about the Titanic. This graphic novel talks about the facts of the Titanic. For example, where it was built, how many passengers it could hold, when it sank, how many people lost their lives, how did the Titanic sink, etc. She goes back in time to talk to the captain of the boat, and some of the passengers who survived. It is filled with a lot of facts about the Titanic, but it doesn't seem like you are reading a bunch of facts because all of these facts are hidden in a well developed graphic novel.

I would use this book in my class to talk about the Titanic. Since their are so many facts about the titanic in it, would be a good history lesson for the students. Then I would tell them to pretend that they were a passenger on the Titanic, and write about their experience on the boat using all of the facts that they had learned.
